Dawn Moon and Venus Conjunction

The crescent moon is followed closely by Venus in morning twilight as they rise in conjunction behind the Bookcliff Mountains of western
Colorado. Sunlight reflected off of the Earth illuminates the dark side of the moon, revealing details on the shadowy lunar surface. Back in
the 1500's this double reflection of sunlight from Earth to the moon was described by Leonardo Da Vinci as 'Earthshine'.
